These Adorable Miffy-Shaped Japanese Pancakes Are Too Cute to Eat

(SPOT.ph) No one can out-kawaii how Japan does its food—from the bento boxes, baked goods, desserts, and even their drinks. If you've ever dreamed of trying these too-cute-to-eat grub, Gram Cafe and Pancakes has a new collaboration with global icon Miffy. Yes, this is the cute white rabbit that people assume is part of Sanrio but is actually of European roots.

Gram Cafe and Pancake's collaboration with Miffy resulted in the creation of the cutest Miffy or rabbit-shaped rice and pancakes. These could be paired with the two chocolatey drinks included in the collection, which both have rabbit-shaped toppings. And as far as animal cruelty goes, no rabbit was harmed in the creation of this menu.

Check out Gram Cafe and Pancakes' cutest collaboration with Miffy:

The savory eats that Gram Cafe and Pancakes' Miffy-fied are the Japanese curry rice meals. The Ebi Furai in Curry Sauce (P465) uses lightly salted shrimp coated in a crunchy, golden brown shell, while the Tori Katsu Curry (P415) uses deep-fried pork cutlets as its main protein.

Both these Japanese rice meals have rabbit-shaped rice and are made to look like Miffy with the added dotted eyes and the x-shaped mouth using nori strips. It comes with heart-shaped sauteed carrots and potatoes, a steamed broccoli floret, and a generous serving of the velvety Japanese curry sauce, which is on the spicier side but with the warmth of garam masala.

Japanese curry is not really the most popular curry and is of an acquired taste. If you want something on the sweeter side, Gram Cafe and Pancakes has Summer Fruity Pancakes (P425) on the menu too. This has rabbit-shaped pancakes (note: this is not the same as their bestselling soufflé pancakes) served with sweet cream, thin slices of strawberries, star-shaped mangoes, crushed graham, and mint leaves (meant as a garnish, but it actually compliments the flavor of the pancakes!). This is best paired with either the Iced Chocolate (P240) or Warm Hug Chocolate (P220) which both have mini Miffy-shaped soufflé pancakes as their toppings.

You can end your meal with Gram Cafe and Pancake x Miffy's dessert, the good-for-sharing Strawberries and Cream Pancake Parfait (P395). This comes in a tall milkshake glass that's filled with layers of classic vanilla ice cream and with add-ons such as strawberry sauce, whipped cream, sponge cake bits, and actual strawberries—plus a Miffy topper you'd want to wipe clean and take home.
