(SPOT.ph) It's finally May, which means that Hollywood's summer blockbusters have movies to watch in the cinema coming back in full swing! However, that doesn't mean streaming platforms are slowing down at all. In fact, Netflix has got some quality titles coming this month that make the case for you to just chill at home and watch movies from the comfort of your bed. We got the rundown for what's new on Netflix this May.

Stranger Things 4: Volume 1 (Series)
Release Date: May 27
Kicking off the list is the first part of Stranger Things' highly anticipated fourth season, which drops at the end of the month. It's been three years since we last saw this group of kids—only they're not kids anymore! After the main cast gets split up at the end of last season, Stranger Things 4 promises to slowly reunite our favorite group of young monster hunters, as they prepare their town for war with the Upside Down. We know little about the season's plot and new mystery villain, but it's Stranger Things. Of course, we'll be there on day one to binge and obsessively theorize.
The Sound of Magic (Series)
Release Date: May 6
Our next pick of the month is the whimsical K-Drama The Sound of Magic. Also a musical featuring original songs, the series follows a young woman who falls in love with a street magician who has a mysterious past. It looks like a charming romance that'll have you believing in the magic while also pulling on the heartstrings.
2 Good 2 Be True: Season 1 (Series)
Release Date: May 13
KathNiel is finally back! If it seems too good to be true, well... yeah, that's the title. If you've been waiting for another Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla rom-com series, then mark your calendars for May 13. But if you're just looking for an enticing rom-com series to binge over a weekend, then get this on your radar too! The series follows Eloy (Padilla) and Ali (Bernardo), both of whom are non-believers in love. However, destiny will just not let up on having these two run into each other at the strangest times. We're definitely looking forward to seeing how this pair rekindle the fire of their relationship on-screen after all these years.

Senior Year (Film)
Release Date: May 13
On the lookout for a quirky film to give you a laugh? Senior Year should be right up your alley, as it has Rebel Wilson portraying a high school cheer captain who ends up in a 20-year coma, only to wake up and do senior year all over again. We'll surely come to see that teenagers now are way different from teenagers in 2002.
A Perfect Pairing (Film)
Release Date: May 19
If you're in the mood for some unlikely romantic pairings, then A Perfect Pairing is the match for you! This rom-com follows a business-driven woman (Victoria Justice) as she winds up working on a big client's ranch, where she learns the toil of manual labor and also befriends a rugged local (Adam Demos). It's definitely our girl-boss pick of the month.
Vampire in the Garden (Series)
Release Date: May 16
From Wit Studio, who brought us the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, Vampire in the Garden promises a vampire epic that looks to have a lot of heart, family drama, and fantastical action sequences that'll surely have you immediately hooked. Anime fans won't want to miss this.
The Lincoln Lawyer (Series)
Release Date: May 13
Based on the best-selling novels by Michael Connellly, The Lincoln Lawyer looks to be a dramatic law procedural that'll satisfy those who like snappy dialogue, egocentric main characters, and high-profile court cases. Ready yourself for May 13, the Lincoln Lawyer is revving up his town car and approaching the bench.
The Pentaverate (Limited Series)
Release Date: May 5
Created, written, and starring Michael Myers as seven different characters—Myers is clearly that person in a group project—The Pentaverate is an unusual and irreverent comedy series that follows one of Myers' characters as he exposes an ancient secret society that secretly controls the world from behind-the-scenes. Ken Jeong and Keegan-Michael Key co-star in the limited series, which will definitely get a lot of confused laughter out of us.
Meltdown: Three Mile Island (Documentary Series)
Release Date: May 4
If you're looking for Netflix to educate you this month, check out Meltdown: Three MIle Island for an investigative retelling of what is said to be the worst nuclear incident in United States history. The series recounts the events that led up to the nearly catastrophic nuclear power plant meltdown at Three Mile Island, Pennsylvania, as well as the attempts to cover up the meltdown during and after the incident.
Welcome to Eden (Series)
Release Date: May 6
Love island mysteries where the characters have to fight to survive? Welcome to Eden may be for you! The first season of this Spanish drama focuses on this group of young adults who travel to this island getaway, Eden, only to discover it's not what it appears on the surface. Getting away from all the partying, sex, and hallucinogenics, the travelers soon find out that the island isn't the paradise it's made out to be.
