(SPOT.ph) It's a great time to be an anime fan. Between Attack on Titan going mainstream well before its final season, the next One Piece film dropping in Philippine cinemas, and Ghost Fighter getting a live-action Netflix adaptation, it looks safe to say that we can talk about anime with our—more casual—friends and know that they'll get it and possibly even be interested. It might just bring a tear to our eyes.
Not to mention, Fortnite—one of the world's most popular free online multiplayer video games—recently just debuted its second batch of Naruto skins as playable characters in their third-person shooting game. And it looks like they're not slowing down, as they've just unveiled that Goku and other Dragon Ball Super characters will be joining the Fortnite island with the August 16 update.

Here's what we know about the Fortnite Dragon Ball collab skins:
Ahead of the theatrical release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Fortnite is bringing four characters from the popular anime into their battle royale. Namely, these characters are Goku (of course), the former Saiyan prince Vegeta, the God of Destruction Beerus, and the genius inventor Bulma.
Goku will have three additional edit styles that come with his character. These styles are based on his Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue, and Mastered Ultra Instinct appearances from the anime. Similarly, Vegeta will have two additional edit styles, based on his own Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue appearances.
Based on prior collabs with Naruto and Street Fighter, these four characters can be bought individually or they can be bought via bundles that include two characters. The solo character will most likely cost 1,600 V-Bucks (the in-game currency), while the bundle of two will most likely cost around 2,200 V-Bucks.
You can purchase in-game 1,000 V-Bucks for P428 and 2,800 V-Bucks for P1,071. Payment methods include Credit Card, Pay Pal, GCash, Razer Wallet, or the e-store of the respective console you're playing on.
Fortnite players will also be treated to some new in-game content in relation to this collab, and yes, even for those who don't purchase the new Dragon Ball characters. You'll be able to perform Kamehameha energy blasts from the series within the game via a new Mythic weapon that'll become available. Additionally, the Creative mode will feature well-known locations from the series, including Capsule Corp, Wastelands, and the World Tournament.
While all well and good, it's still just bewildering that we can take out Goku with a shotgun while playing as Ariana Grande, Lebron James, Batman, and John Wick. Yes, all those folks are characters in Fortnite now. Our childhood fantasies could never.
