(SPOT.ph) Aside from last-minute shopping and cheery Christmas sights, holidays in the Metro also mean that there's a surge of passengers in terminals hoping to go to their hometown in time for Noche Buena. In an effort to manage this expected spike, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board issued special permits for additional bus routes at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange.
From December 23 to January 3, 2020, the terminal will serve as a major hub for 73 units of provincial buses with special routes to and from Northern Luzon, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao. This is in addition to the current provincial service from the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) to various cities and municipalities in Cavite, Baguio City in Benguet, Batangas, and Lucena City in Quezon.

Here are the additional routes:
From PITX:
- Sta. Cruz, Zambales
- Pangasinan (San Carlos and Alaminos)
- Daet, Camarines Norte
- Naga City, Camarines Sur
- Legazpi City, Albay
- Sorsogon (Bulan and Matnog)
- Iloilo City
- Surigao City, Surigao del Norte
- Davao City
To PITX:
- San Jose del Monte, Bulacan
- Mariveles, Bataan
- Bolinao, Pangasinan
- Baguio City, Benguet

- Albay (Legazpi City and Tabaco City)
The loading area for provincial buses is from gates five to seven at the ground floor. For more information, follow PITX on Facebook.
