10 Anime Titles of 2022 You Should Have Watched By Now

(SPOT.ph) Whether you're a huge fan or a casual viewer, there's always an anime show or movie to suit your taste and mood. If you want to have a laugh, there are feel-good titles; if you want to cry, we also have heart-wrenching anime series listed, or, for some morbid reason, you want disturbing horror, those exist, too—name it, there's a title for you. The year gone by is just one example of exactly how many, and how varied, the titles can get. And just how good, too. We round up a few of the best 2022 releases you really should have watched by now below.

Spy x Family Part 1 and Part 2
There's no escape from falling into the charms of this feel-good anime. One of the main reasons is the incredibly adorable pink-haired kid named Anya. We understand. For the uninitiated, Spy x Family revolves around a "family" of three, emphasis on the word family, because surprise, surprise—they're not a real one. Loid, a skilled spy, just formed it to infiltrate a private elite school. The first part dropped in April, with the second following a few months after in October.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0
Technically, the movie was screened in Japan in December 2021. But it was in March of the following year that it is shown in the U.S. and other regions. Fans in the Philippines got to see it on the big screens as it showed in selected cinemas nationwide in September. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 tells the story of Yuta Okkotsu, a host to a "dangerous special-grade cursed apparition" Rika, who is also his childhood best friend and first love, and his mission to free himself from her.
Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man has the same vibes as the dark fantasy anime Jujutsu Kaisen. Think lots of fighting and the supernatural, but instead of curses, it's devils—one such thing is this series' protagonist Denji, who, after being betrayed and killed by the yakuza, came back to life through his pet, a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. They merge, and now Denji is a human that can also transform into a devil known as the "Chainsaw Man": a man with a devil's heart. You're in for a bloody good time.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2
It's an all-out war between the people of Eldia and Marley, with Eren Jaeger about to start mass genocide through the Rumbling. It's up to Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and their remaining allies to stop their friend's monstrous plan and save his soul (and, by extension, the whole world). The series first episode dropped in 2013; it is expected to conclude in 2023. Raise your hands if you've devoted your heart to this smashing hit this entire decade. We're proudly putting our closed right fist on our chest, too.
Sasaki to Miyano
Fan of BL series? Then you'll fall in love with Sasaki to Miyano. The series follows the budding romance of two high school students Yoshikazu Miyano and Shumei Sasaki, who crossed paths after Miyano sees Sasaki save his classmate from bullies.
One Piece Film Red
Luffy and the Straw Hat crew go to the beautiful Elegia, called the "Island of Music," to watch the world's greatest diva's, Uta, first-ever live concert in One Pice Film Red. Much to everyone's surprise, the singer is Shank's daughter and Luffy's childhood friend. Their supposed reunion goes awry as Uta learns that the latter has become a pirate—who are people Uta loathes.
Blue Lock
If you love football or soccer, chances are you'll love this sports anime series. Join Yoichi Isagi and his quest to become the world's best striker through the "Blue Lock" project. The series has superb animation and a great art style that amp up the story and your overall viewing experience. Every game is cutthroat and so intense that you're going to be on the edge of your seat every time. Despite that, there's no doubt you'll be calling for an additional time because you can't seem to get enough of watching.
Suzume no Tojimari
From popular anime films Your Name and Weathering With You, brace your hearts for another touching and heart-tugging film from director Makoto Shinkai. Suzume no Tojimari aired in Japan last November 11 and is to premier worldwide next year—hopefully available (legally, at least) in our country, too, because we love pain and suffering. Shinkai's latest movie follows high school girl Suzume who, following a chair-ismatic (this is a pun, watch the trailers and you'll know why) young man in the middle of ruins in the mountains, discovers a weathered door that she later learns opens to places across Japan.
Lookism
What would you do if you woke up one day as the most gorgeous human being on Earth? Oh, but wait, aren't you already? Maybe this doesn't apply to you anymore as the gorgeous human being you are—but the change in question happened in the life of Park Hyungseok (English name Daniel Park) in Lookism. He's a victim of bullying because of his physical appearance (that is not up to societal norms), which led him to transfer schools. As soon as he does so, he transforms into a strong and handsome man.
Komi Can't Communicate Part 2
Shouko Komi has a goal, and that's making 100 friends before graduating from high school. It would seem easy for some, but not for her who has a severe communication disorder. She has found a friend in her seatmate, Hitohito Tadano during the course of the first part. In the second season, more potential friends appear.
