What is Bondee?
Created by Singapore-based Metadream, Bondee is a social networking app that provides a virtual space for you and your friends to chat, hang out, and see what each other is up to. You can invite up to 50 friends to your plaza.
Primarily, Bondee allows you to create your own avatar and room. From there, you can select from a variety of moods and activities to set up as your personal status for everyone to see. It’s self-expression like no other. Think of it as a mix between The Sims and Snapchat.

How do I use Bondee?
Where to Download Bondee
You can download Bondee on both iOS and Android. Take note that Bondee is currently only available in select countries in Asia, namely Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
However, this doesn’t mean people elsewhere can’t experience Bondee. If you’re keen to try it ahead of its release in your country, you can opt to connect to a VPN or download an APK of the app to download Bondee.
How to Create a Bondee Account
Creating a Bondee account is pretty straightforward. Sign up on the app by entering your phone number and the verification code sent to your phone number. Don’t forget to read through and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Next, select your birthday, enter your name, and set a password. You need to be at least 13 years old to use Bondee.
You also need to think of a Bondee ID that hasn’t been taken yet. It’s similar to a social media username on Twitter or Instagram, where your friends can simply type your ID to find you. The ID you type in will be permanent, so choose wisely.
How to Customize an Avatar on Bondee
Once the boring stuff is out of the way, you can begin customizing your avatar into a mini-me version of yourself. You can select your corresponding skin tone, face, hair, eyes, and more. Of course, it isn't a requirement for your avatar to look exactly like you. This app serves as an escapism, after all, so feel free to customize yours however you wish.
Some clothing items are also only available for a limited time, so make sure to try them out before they become in-app purchases in the future. A quick tip: don’t spend too much time perfecting your avatar, since you can still change your appearance whenever you want.
How to Design a Room on Bondee
Designing a room on Bondee has a similar process to how your avatar is made, but it can be tricky to know where to begin as a newbie. Go to your profile by clicking the rightmost icon on the bottom screen. You'll find a blank room for you to click on to start editing. Proceed to select a wall color, furniture, frames, windows, and more. Don’t forget to save your creation before you exit.

What are the tech requirements for Bondee?
iOS users must have an operating system of iOS 13.0 and up, while Android users must have an operating system of Android 8.0 and up. You can check what version you have in your phone’s general settings.
In addition, make sure you have around 500MB of free space on your phone to be able to download the Bondee app.
Why isn’t Bondee compatible with my phone?
As mentioned above, you won’t be able to download Bondee unless your phone meets the tech requirements needed for the app to install and run smoothly.
You can use a VPN to set your location to any of the Asian countries where Bondee is available. Alternatively, Android users can opt for Bondee’s APK file, which is the file format that Android uses to distribute and install apps. All you have to do is obtain an APK file from elsewhere and install it to your device manually.
If it still doesn’t work, then it could be that your Apple or Samsung hardware is not powerful enough (RAM or processor-wise) to run the app. Count your losses with this one.
