Crosta, a mano Are Among Best Pizzerias in the World, Says Italian Guide
These Metro Manila restaurants (and their pizzas!) made the cut.
(SPOT.ph) The Manila dining scene continues to gain global recognition across multiple avenues—among them, its pizza spots. After being lauded for serving some of the best pies in the Asia-Pacific region by Italian guide 50 Top Pizza, Crosta Pizzeria and a mano are awarded once again—this time, in the guide's 2023 World list.

These pizzerias in Manila are named some of the best in the world:
50 Top Pizza published their 50 Top Pizza World 2023 list, holding an awarding ceremony on September 13 at the Palazzo Reale in Naples, Italy to celebrate the awardees. As the name implies, the list covers 100 standout pizzerias from around the globe—of which is our own Crosta Pizzeria at 54th, and a mano at 96th.

Pizza Lovers: Crosta's Greenhills Branch Is Now on Soft Opening
On the 54th spot is Crosta Pizzeria, with 50 Top Pizza highlighting its "warm and welcoming" atmosphere, "excellent-quality" takes on a variety of pizza styles ("with great attention to leavening and the digestibility of the product," they add), and use of "excellent" raw materials, many from Italy. With pies that go playful in the topping and flavor-combo department, Crosta also bagged the Pizza of the Year 2023 Latteria Sorrentina Award for Chef Yuichi Ito's Culatello, Black Tasmanian Cherries Marinated in Marsala, Gorgonzola Cream, Mozzarella, and Balsamic Vinegar pizza. They were also awarded in the Asia-Pacific version of the same list—in 32nd place in 2022, and 10th in 2023.

a mano, on the other hand, lands on the 96th place, gaining praise for their signatures (from pizza to pasta and more!) that "bring the best of Italian gastronomic culture to the table," and way of "[satisfying] the palate and the desire to eat authentic Italian." "With this pizza, you can taste the Mediterranean and the fire from the oven," the publication writes—no wonder, as the restaurant serves great versions of classic pies cooked in their red Valoriani oven. a mano was also awarded in 50 Top Pizza's Asia-Pacific list—at the 48th spot in 2022, and 15th in 2023.
50 Top Pizza is an online guide updated annually, listing the "best pizzerias in the world" of different styles. Included in their assessment criteria are the pizza; the service; the space, ambiance, and decor; the wait (e.g., how the "flow of customers is managed" in the restaurant); the wine; the beer; and other beverages.
