Dito at Doon (2021)
As one of the few local films released at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, this film is full of references and experiences we can all easily relate to. Dito at Doon explores a blossoming romance during the quarantine and how comfort and normalcy can come in different forms during these ever-changing times. The film stars JC Santos and Janine Guiterrez in the titular roles of Caloy and Len, two very different people who find what they needed in each other.

Another JC Santos movie on the list is 100 Tula Para Kay Stella. Tayo Sa Huling Buwan Ng Taon (2019)
Can ex-lovers ever be just friends? Sam and Isa, played by Nicco Manalo and Emmanuelle Vera, are ex-lovers reunited after five years. They attempt to rebuild their friendship but find it more difficult than it initially seemed as unsettled issues and resentment bubble up and break the fragile truce they have formed. The sequel to Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa looks into the pain of being in love with someone and realizing it may never be meant to be.

More Than Blue (2021)
