10 Exciting Titles Coming to Netflix This February

(SPOT.ph) Finally, after what seems like forever, January is coming to a close. We don't know about you, but we're ready to close chapter one of twelve and head straight to chapter two: February. And while most of you may think the second month of the year is going to be full of sappy love stories, rom-coms, and a whole boatload of drama, you're only partially right. This month Netflix is giving love a darker twist with stories about obsession, lies, and passion. Yup, we're calling it. You're going to think twice about calling February all fluff. We rounded up 10 new Netflix shows that'll have you, dear Spotters, all hot and bothered this love month.

Put these 10 Netflix series and films on your watch list for February 2023:

Your Place or Mine (Movie)

Release Date: February 10

Alright, as predictable as it may seem, we're starting the list of with a rom-com. But hey, could you blame us if said flick stars OG 2000s hottie Ashton Kutcher and 2000s romcom queen Reese Witherspoon? Yup, it seems like no time has passed as these two powerhouses lead the charge in Your Place or Mine. A story about best friends and total opposites. In this friends-to-lovers romance, Debbie (Witherspoon) and Peter (Kutcher) swap homes for a week. It is during said exchange that they get a peek into each other's lives that could open the door to romantic love, maybe? Finally?

You: Season 4 Part 1 (Series)

Release Date: February 9

Ah yes, our favorite serial killer-slash-lover boy is back. Penn Badgley reprises his role as Joe in Season 4 of You. Here we find Joe starting anew in London. He vows to bury the past and be his best self. But on the rocky road to redemption, a new obsession starts to take hold. Will Joe go back to his murderous ways? Find out. 

An Inconvenient Love (Movie)

Release Date: February 23

Arguably one of the biggest pairings of this generation, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano star in this Star Cinema flick. In this tale of "will love conquer it all?", two young lovers agree to a casual relationship, but this convenient arrangement grows complicated as their romance reaches an expiration date. Will they find it in them to stay the course and be together 'til the end, or is this a lesson in heartbreak we all know too well? 

In Love All Over Again (Series)

Release Date: February 14

Ever since they met, Irene (Georgina Amorós) and Julio (Franco Masini) have been falling in love, splitting up, and then trying again. In this will-they-won't-they Spanish romance, we follow Irene and Julio and their love story through the years, starting out as college students until the present. Maybe once the series ends, we'll finally know if they ever find their happy ending and if that ending involves each other.

Love to Hate You (Movie)

Release Date: February 10

For an attorney who despises losing to men (Kim Ok-Vin) and an A-list actor who distrusts women (Yoo Teo), love means nothing— until they're forced to date each other. In this enemies-to-lovers Kdrama, let's follow Yeo Mi-Ran and Nam Gang-Ho into battle and see who falls first and who falls harder.

Re/Member (Movie)

Release Date: February 14

This J-flick stars former idol Kanna Hashimoto, Fuju Kamio, and Alice in Borderland star Shuntaro Yanagi as high schoolers stuck in a murderous time loop tasked to find the scattered remains of an unknown victim. Will they be able to piece it all together in time and finally see another day? Find out on Valentine's Day.

The Strays (Film)

Release Date: February 22

In what is expected to be one of Netflix's best releases for 2023, a light-skinned Black woman's meticulously crafted life of privilege starts to unravel when two strangers show up in her quaint suburban town. Not much is known about this psychological thriller starring Ashley Madekwe, Bukky Bakray, and Jorden Myrie. But if online speculation and trailers are to be believed, we may have another home run for Netflix in this provocative middle-class British-dream flick.

Aggretsuko: Season 5 (Series)

Release Date: February 16

This season, our favorite animated red panda with anger issues, Retsuko, faces her biggest challenge yet. She's thrown headfirst into the world of politics. Catch Retsuko and the rest of the gang in their final season of this all-too-real animated tale of #adulting.

Perfect Match (Series)

Release Date: February 14, 21, 28

Admit it, we all love raunchy and scandalous reality tv, and what could get more provocative than a reality show about finding love? In Perfect Match, couples who prove their compatibility gain the power to make or break other matches through strategy and seduction. Catch all the drama, intrigue, and deception in this all-star-packed reality show. 

We Have A Ghost (Movie)

Release Date: February 24

In what could be deemed reminiscent of Casper the Friendly Ghost, a family finds a specter named Ernest haunting their new home. This turns the family into overnight social media sensations. But when they go rogue to investigate the mystery of Ernest's past, the family becomes a target of the CIA.

As if that isn't enough to get you hooked on this flick,  this family-fun-ghost movie stars big names like Stranger Things' David Harbour, Faith Ford, Jennifer Coolidge, and Marvel's Anthony Mackie.
